Bloom Standard has developed the EVA RAPIDscan self-driving ultrasound system to earlier detect and assess pediatric patients for heart and lung conditions. The FDA Breakthrough technology combines novel sensor hardware with AI-based software to allow any level of healthcare staff to rapidly place, scan and assess babies and children, even in resource-limited settings.

METHODS OF RESEARCH
StratCraft team conducted in-person interviews with company leaders: CEOs, CSOs, CMOs, CTOs. Documenting their mission, vision for crossing the chasm, and particular challenges and opportunities they encountered to-date.
We also spoke with several physicians - to gauge reactions to AI technologies.
We used secondary research sources such as press releases on recent technological advancements and partnerships, market reports, and podcast interviews with regulators, innovators, and ethics experts. Notable sources include the Biomedical Frontiers Podcast, Project MedTech, and the International Healthcare Symposium.
We utilized the Geoffrey Moore's Crossing the Chasm, 3rd Edition: Marketing and Selling Disruptive Products to Mainstream Customers to frame our thinking around the differences between innovators vs mainstream adopters in the context of healthcare and our own expertise in technology commercialization to present a critical assessment of the adoption paths chosen by various compaies.
We used AI to help organize, edit, and illustrate our research. Specific uses included pulling quotes from interview transcripts, generating the color schemes and cover image of the final report, critiquing and editing the final written report, writing summaries for website placement & social media distribution, and helping us code the dynamic database of quotes and resources.
